Kilobits per second and kilobytes per seconds:
ISP advertise with Kilobits, because of big numbers and we don't use much of kilobits, we get confused.
Let's say we saw an advertisement that says 5130 Kilobits for speed.
It is actually “641.25” Kilobytes in speed.

Avoid AOL dial up or Wallmart connection because you are paying way too much.
When you download file from web page you see message like
6.9 of 126.8MB at 471KB/Sec; 04:20 remain
That Blue portion is Kilobits per second.
