Most of us are used to Kilobytes, because of Hard Disk space.
they knew that, and use Kilobits to throw us off

Second thing you have to know is upload speed and download speed are different.

For example you see fallowing message while downloading:
like 6.9 of 126.8MB at 471KB/Sec; 04:20 remain
